I got very caught up in the adventures of Sam Prichard. Sure everything goes his way as he sweeps in to conquer what ever evil he faces but that is part of the entertainment of the series. I really enjoyed the parallels to recent and current world events. The best part for me was that the author keeps his books clean. The sex and profanity are non-existent and I really appreciate that. I am speaking of this series only books 1 to 8. I would comfortably recommend this series to teens and young adults alike. It makes me want to read other books from this author. I read a lot of authors in this genre and David Archer has a way of writing entertaining books without the trash. Good work!Product details

Awesome stories! This series builds to such a crescendo that I lost sleep because I was unable to put it down. It took a turn in the last 3 books in the series that I never expected. WOW! One criticism is that somewhere between David Archer's vivid imagination, talented writing and publication in kindle format appears a disconnect. The obviously wrong word is too often used and caused me to flinch way too frequently, more so in books 6-8. I highly recommend this series and fully plan to read all the rest of the books published by this author.
I so enjoyed the series up until this book. I found it very difficult to get to the end. Unbelievable that a private investigator would happen to stumble into government conspiracy, let alone out to hunt the Anti-Christ. The author dropped the ball on this one.
LOVE, love, love the Sam Prichard novel series (8 books) by David Archer. I started reading this author by obtaining the first book (The Grave Man) for free - I was hooked!!! I then received the next 2 books (Death Sung Softly & Love and War) for free and couldn't stop there, so I had to purchase book 4 (Framed). This is an amazing series, full of suspense and thrill, funny times and sad times. Sam is a fabulous character; Indie & Herman are super smart - Beuregard is scarily right all the time. I went ahead and purchased the next 4 books at an incredibly reasonable price!
Books 6, 7 & 8 are a 3 part series that you would be able to follow if you had purchased them out of order. In one, Archer offers a Prologue. In another, Chapter 1 is the same as the concluding chapter of the previous book in the series so you don't have to worry about reading or purchasing them out of order. Book 1 is a stand alone novel. All offer the typical local PI intrigue but they always seen to include the need for Sam to be involved in problems dealing with National Security and Oh, saving the Nation. Good stuff, albeit some of most involve a lot of religiosity, praying and a strong belief system that's not necessary to have to enjoy reading.
I was really enjoying the Sam Pritchard series. One of the reasons I read, and like detective/mysteries is to escape the onslaught in the media about political figures, and all the vileness.
Why oh why did you have to drag current political figures into your story, even using false names, it really ruined this whole series. I wish I hadn’t bought a boxed set now. I won’t finish them now. I thought you should know Mr Archer. They’re your books, but at least warn us when you go from fictional mysteries to political innuendo. I really did not need to know about the “fictional” First Lady’s Christmas Tree decorations.
OH MY GOODNESS! Talk about edge of your seat excitement! Drifter Part 1-3 could be heard as part of FOX HEADLINE NEWS it’s so close to stories over past year. Sam Prichard is not your average Private Investigator. Oh my, this guy gets into more seat of your pants life issues than ever. If his story was real life he would be a non stop trouble magnet. Lol. The thing is I’m addicted to Sam Prichard & Noah Wolf. No. Let me rephrase that, addicted to anything written by David Archer. He is as good as it gets for Suspense Thrillers.
Drifter Series caused me to gasp more than once. The characters are likable and interesting. So into the story that one scene concerning Indie brought a gasp and tears. Oh you will find it difficult to lay this down once you begin reading. So cut off the phone and tv, find your favorite spot in the reading room, sofa or bed and plan to curl up for an evening with Sam Prichard. I can’t recommend enough how enjoyable these 3 novels are. 5 Stars for Books 5-8 and worth every penny! Read, enjoy, and don’t forget to post your review. I can’t wait to recommend to all of my ebook/kindle friends just as I can’t wait to begin BOOK 9!
I really enjoyed the first 5 books of this series. But in book 6 they totally went off track. The first 5 were straightforward PI mysteries. They were suspenseful and action packed. Books 6 - 8 were action packed, but they lost me when they started dealing with an Antichrist, prophecies, far fetched politics, etc. If they would have stuck with the premise of one story per book, they would have been great. When they carried a story over for 3 books, and couldn't stop the bad guy until the very end, it just got ridiculous.
